Read moreThe 06.8 Large Transfer Valve / Insert / Door sets new standards for large coating systems such as display or photovoltaic panel production in terms of cycle time. With its optimized single-motion design, FlapVAT, the plate can rotate in one simplified rotation motion. This allows an exceptionally fast open/close cycle time of 1.2 – 2 s depending on the plate size, making it the fastest large transfer valve in its class.
The FlapVAT system also provides an integrated failsafe function. In the event of power down and loss of compressed dry air the valve remains mechanically locked in its close position.
To maintain its speed performance and a reliable sealing function over a long, uninterrupted production cycle, the 06.8 series has some additional key features. One is an adaptive leakage prevention. A special “Soft Gate Design” compensates for thermal chamber deformation and with it any leakage risk.
Furthermore, a special heat shield attached to the plate prevents heat transfer into the valve body or in the adjusting process chamber. The shield can also eliminate the need for additional water cooling.
The 06.8 can be configured to operate against full differential pressure on both sides.
The series is designed for high and long uninterrupted production cycles - up to one million cycles - under clean, unheated conditions. Installation in top or bottom orientations is possible.
Downtime for maintenance or repair is not just an annoyance, it is a cost and it reduces output. The 06.8 maximizes uptime by design. Two key features characterize this: a robust design which provides reliable performance under varying process conditions and an extended maintenance cycle with only basic maintenance requirements. Both increase the effective uptime.
If maintenance is required, it easily can be aligned with the maintenance schedule of the production system. A maintenance exchange of all moving parts, if required, can be performed very quickly, meaning it would not result in system maintenance downtime.
The 06.8 is available as a valve, an insert or an atmospheric (ATM) door. With various design options, the 06.8 series can be customized to a wide range of requirements. A solenoid valve for impulse actuation, pneumatic locking for open gate position, water-cooling and a variety of material options are just some of the customizing options.
